VESPA / EPN-TAP and EPNCore
PID: https://hdl.handle.net/21.15110/epn_tap_extensions | (Provided by EUDAT/B2HANDLE) | Publisher: PADC | Citation: S. Erard, B. Cecconi (2022). EPN-TAP extensions (Version 2.0) | Summary: This collection lists the thematic extensions of the EPN-TAP standard. It also provides access to elements of the EPN-TAP / EPNCore standard, as endorsed by the IVOA. |
Data Access protocol and Data Model
Published EPN-TAP v2 document | Currently an IVOA Proposed Recommendation (in review). This defines the EPNcore standard parameters (mandatory and optional) | Current EPN-TAP v2 document | Latest working version on the IVOA github |
Thematic extensions
Thematic extensions are groups of optional parameters defined to support services in a specialized field. These parameters are defined outside of the main doc, but have the same status as regular optional parameters.
APIS extension | Finalized |
Particle spectroscopy extension | Finalized |
Experimental spectroscopy extension | In progress |
Solar System Objects extension | In progress |
Map extension | In progress |
Contributive work extension | In progress |
Events extension | In progress |
Vocabulary pages
Some EPN-TAP parameters accept values from closed lists, which are maintained as vocabularies. Mature vocabularies for mandatory and regular optional parameters are included in the EPN-TAP document.
Observatory & spacecraft list | For instrument_name and instrument_host_name |
Data Products | For dataproduct_type |
Data Formats and MIME | For access_format |
Planetary Coordinate Systems (in progress) | For spatial_coordinate_description |
Small bodies sub-types page (in progress) | For dynamical_type and dynamical_class |
Solar System object properties (in progress) | For orbital and physical parameters |
Exp. spectroscopy extension page | For geometry_type and spectrum_type |
UCD (IVOA standard) | For measurement_type |
IVOA vocabularies | Use these when no specific VESPA vocabulary is defined |
Geofits keywords | and their possible values (summary) |
